This project took place in my Senior Capstone Design class. In a group of five, we created a semi-autonomous solution to grocery getting from the trunk of a car. During the course of this project, I took direct ownership of various tasks such as:
- In charge of electro-mechanical/software components to produce a semi-autonomous grocery assistant cart - Conducted torque, speed, and power measurements per the pre-specified load using a first-principles approach - Implemented the use of Python and Phidget's API to provide a functioning prototype by the end of the semester - Contributed/Observed basic manufacturing processes such as cleaning, milling, and welding of aluminum extrusions
This project proved to be a great challenge and had room for improvement like all prototypes. I walked away with an abundance of new skills and enhanced my overall perspective when approaching an electro-mechanical project.
